One Article A Week Creates Traffic!

Remember the saying that an apple a day will keep the doctor away. Well I am here to tell you from personal experience that an article a week will bring traffic to your site. Articles are a form of advertising that will bring traffic to your web site. See I said it again; articles are a form of advertising that will bring traffic to your web site. People doing business on the web are always looking for information and this is a very simple and inexpensive way to get it. It is also a form of free advertisement because ezine publishers and search engines are always looking for good content. Writing articles is not difficult especially if you have some knowledge of the subject. In fact, once you get the hang of it you will come to enjoy doing it and eventually become recognized as an expert. Once you get to that level you will actually have people seeking you out. Writing articles that are directly related to the theme of your web site will give you a definite edge on the competition. And did I mention that it is a form of 'FREE' advertisement.

Being a member of a forum will yield reference material from which you can certainly benefit in your article writing. You can also draw from other articles that have been written on the same subject. And of course you can draw on your own personal experiences from both the past and present. After working with various directories you will learn the formatting that they require and it is a good idea to set up your article with this in mind so that publishers will pick up your articles and not decline them because of formatting. Make sure it is all done in a text document, and all will be fine.

Most all directories require keywords to go along with the article, and usually ask for a 2 or 3 sentence summary of the article. This all helps with the placement of the article in both ezines and search engines. The most important information of all for advertising purposes is the resource or author box. It is here that you give information about you, the author, the web sites you own, and any blogs. The key here is to generate as much traffic to your web site as you can, by efficiently using web content and articles that appeal to people and then having them link back to your website. This is very effective when you write great articles that pertain to your site as a whole.

Whenever someone reads your article there is a good chance that they will want to know more about you and your work. This is why it is important for you to have links to your site or blog in the article. After writing several articles you will also be recognized as an expert and people will seek you out. This can easily draw people to your site or blog out of curiosity, and could generate a new sale. Eventually word will spread about you and your work and others will be referred to your site or blog. It will take some time but you can see how the traffic is starting to build and word of mouth advertising for you and your site is starting to spread. Like any other business it takes time for you to build a reputation and get peoples attention, interest, and desire to do business with you. So, hang in there and start writing, and then post your articles with as many directories as you can find. As I mentioned before there are literally hundreds of directories that are looking for great content and they serve a purpose in the way of generating more traffic to your intended target. That target is your web site.
